2 miscellaneous tidbits of information~
Marco and Ed and I were having fantasies about buying a house in Port Isabel and living there all summer for windsurfing. Then we saw an ad for a flipped house for $155k and met the owner by chance. Then we looked at the house while out on a jog - the house looked nice but the neighborhood looked sketchy. We opted out this time. But here is the wisdom of considering all options before making such an investment. Dad wisely pointed out that investing the $155k in something that does not have to be cleaned and maintained can generate enough interest to pay for a lot of hotel rooms.
There were lots of bird feathers on my front walk when I got back to NM after being out of town for the holidays. I did not think much of it because birds hang out there a lot. This irks me though because they leave a lot of bird poop. This morning I noticed that there were bird feet as well as bird feathers in the mix. Cats and dogs do not generally roam free in my neighborhood so I wonder if it might have been a coyote as my neighborhood borders the desert. At any rate I hope it puts an end to the bird poop. I have left the feathers and feet where they are.

haha wow it sounds like you have a natural form of bird control but if you are looking for other options check out www.bird-x.com. They offer free consultations and lots of products to scare the birds off (in a cruelty-free way). Also, watch out for the bird droppings as they can transmit a lot of diseases to humans as well as some pets. Good luck!
